RESIDENT ACCESS / IPHONE & ANDROID
Two apps.
One clear guide.
Install Brivo Mobile Pass for your resident entry credential. Set up Swiftlane so visitors can call you from the entrance.
Management must invite you to each system using your own email address. Have those invitations ready and use the invited email throughout setup. Downloading either app alone does not give you access. If an invitation is missing or expired, ask the Association Manager to resend it through your owner or lease contact.

BRIVO MOBILE PASS / IPHONE
Set up on iPhone.
- Install the resident app. On your iPhone, open the link above. Check the name Brivo Mobile Pass and developer Brivo Inc. Tap Get (or the cloud download icon), confirm the download and tap Open.
- Activate your invitation. Open your Brivo invitation email on this same phone. Look for “Your Brivo Mobile Pass is ready!” Follow its account-claim link and create your password if asked. If the email has Add Pass to Account, follow that link to attach the issued pass to your account.
- Sign in. Return to Brivo Mobile Pass and tap the blue Sign In button. Use the email and password from the invitation process. Complete the in-app tutorial.
- Enable Bluetooth. Turn on Bluetooth in iPhone Settings. Allow Brivo’s Bluetooth request when shown. To review permission later, use Settings → Privacy & Security → Bluetooth → Brivo Mobile Pass. Follow any additional permission prompts explained by the app.
- Check your doors. In Brivo, tap All Doors and find the door assigned to you. Missing Citywalk access must be corrected by management. Use the daily entry steps below to test it before moving day.
BRIVO MOBILE PASS / ANDROID
Set up on Android.
Open Brivo in Google Play ↗- Install the resident app. Open the link on your Android phone. Check Brivo Mobile Pass by Brivo Systems, LLC. Tap Install, then Open.
- Use the invitation on this phone. In your email app, open the Brivo invitation. Follow the account-claim or Add Pass to Account link shown in your message; finish registration if prompted.
- Sign in to Brivo. Tap Sign In and use the invited email and your Brivo password. Work through the tutorial.
- Allow the Bluetooth connection. Turn on Bluetooth. Allow Nearby devices when requested on newer Android versions. Older versions may ask for location to scan for Bluetooth readers. Review the app’s explanation when a permission is requested. To revisit a permission, long-press the Brivo icon → App info → Permissions; menu labels vary by manufacturer.
- Check and test access. Tap All Doors. Your authorized doors should appear. At your permitted entrance, test the daily entry steps below. Ask management about missing doors or an access-denied message.
The shared control reference below depicts iPhone. Brivo’s published examples do not provide an Android-specific account screen; follow the Android steps above and the prompts on your own phone.
BRIVO / DAILY ENTRY ON EITHER PHONE
Your phone is your credential.
- Stand at the door you are authorized to use. Unlock your phone, keep Bluetooth on and open Brivo Mobile Pass.
- Choose the door. Tap All Doors, then tap the correct door’s name. You can also use the Magic Button near a compatible Brivo reader to request the nearest authorized door.
- Wait for the result. Look for the app’s unlock confirmation and check that the door has released. Enter and let it close behind you. An error or missing door needs management’s help.
- Save a favorite. Tap the three dots beside the door, then Add to Favorites. Next time, tap that door in Favorites.
To replay Brivo’s tutorial: three-bar menu → Help & Disclosures → Restart Tutorial. Brivo permits one active app session per user; signing in on another phone may sign out the first. Request separate access for another person.
Only owners can issue mobile guest passes. Tenants: ask your owner or management. Do not share your own login or resident credential. Only use guest features enabled and authorized for your account.
SWIFTLANE VISITOR INTERCOM / IPHONE
Set up on iPhone.
- Install Swiftlane ID. Check the developer Swiftpass Inc, tap Get (or the cloud icon), confirm and tap Open.
- Open your account invitation. Follow the Swiftlane email to complete registration. Enter the email management invited. If asked for a Workspace, use the exact workspace from your invitation or ask management for it.
- Sign in. Use the password or emailed verification code requested by the app. Complete the onboarding prompts. Swiftlane’s guide allows the face-scan step to be skipped; it is not required just to receive visitor calls.
- Allow visitor calls. Allow notifications and microphone access when prompted so you can receive and speak on intercom calls. Camera access is used for features that need your camera, such as sending video or an optional face scan.
- Check notification settings. Open iPhone Settings → Notifications → Swiftlane and turn on Allow Notifications and Sounds. Select the alert locations you want, including Lock Screen or Banners for visible incoming alerts. You can also find this under Swiftlane’s app settings.
- Make a test call. Have someone call your directory entry from the entrance. Follow Answer a visitor below and confirm two-way audio and the authorized door release.
SWIFTLANE VISITOR INTERCOM / ANDROID
Set up on Android.
- Install Swiftlane. Open the link on your phone, tap Install, then Open.
- Complete the invited account. Follow your Swiftlane invitation and use the invited email. Enter the exact workspace from that email when requested. Sign in with your password or the verification code the app sends.
- Complete onboarding. Allow notifications and microphone access for visitor calls. You may skip the optional face-scan step. Bluetooth / Nearby devices permission is relevant if management enables Swiftlane mobile unlocking for you.
- Check Android notifications. Long-press the Swiftlane icon → App info → Notifications. Turn on Allow notifications or Show notifications. Where offered, choose Allow sound and vibration. Keep the phone’s ringtone and notification volume audible.
- Test the visitor call. Ask someone at the entrance to select your directory entry and call. Answer, confirm who is there, and test the permitted door release using the steps below.
Samsung, Pixel and other Android phones use slightly different menu labels. These are real Android examples from Swiftlane’s support documentation.
SWIFTLANE / IPHONE & ANDROID
Welcome the person
you are expecting.
- Your visitor calls from the entrance. On the intercom, select I'm a Visitor, then Call Tenant or Call Resident. Search for the resident’s directory name and tap Call.
- Answer on your phone. Tap the incoming Swiftlane call notification and use the answer control. Unlock your phone if required.
- Confirm the visitor. Speak with the caller and use the displayed video to verify who is asking to enter.
- Release the correct entrance. If you intend to admit that person, tap Unlock or Unlock Door in the call screen. Then end the call. A visitor call does not grant entry until an authorized resident acts.
Tell guests to use your intercom entry. Do not post credentials, prop doors open or admit an unknown person simply because they are waiting outside.
WHEN SOMETHING DOES NOT WORK
A few checks before calling.
No invitation, no workspace or no doors
Check your email’s spam folder and confirm management invited the correct address. Ask the Association Manager to resend the invitation, supply the workspace or correct your door permissions. Do not create a guessed workspace or use another resident’s login.
Brivo shows access denied or cannot find a reader
Confirm Bluetooth and the app’s requested Bluetooth / Nearby devices permissions are enabled. Open the app while standing at your authorized reader; select the door from All Doors. If the Magic Button is missing, open the three-bar menu → My Settings and check Location Services, as described in Brivo’s guide. If it still fails, use your authorized physical fob if available and report the exact door, time and error to management.
Swiftlane calls do not ring on iPhone
Check Allow Notifications, Sounds, volume and internet connectivity. If using Focus or Do Not Disturb, go to Settings → Focus → your active Focus → Apps and add Swiftlane to the allowed apps. Re-test from the entrance. Swiftlane’s app also offers Profile → Intercom Settings; ask management if your directory entry or call routing is incorrect.
Swiftlane calls do not ring on Android
Check App info → Notifications, ringtone/notification volume and internet connectivity. Allow Swiftlane through your active Do Not Disturb mode if you want calls during it. Swiftlane support also recommends App info → Battery → Unrestricted if battery restrictions are delaying calls; this can increase battery use. Open Swiftlane and resolve any displayed call-permission warnings, then test again.
A new or lost phone
Install the official apps on your new phone and sign in with your invited accounts. Ask management for a new invitation or credential if required. Report a lost phone or fob promptly so management can revoke affected access. Do not share your password or verification code.
Contact Ascent Association Management for account invitations or door permissions. Include which app, iPhone or Android, the affected door and the error message. Never send your password, verification code or access token.
